What brought you to your highlighted W Hotel property – what was your main inspiration and/or challenge on-site?

The mix of a cool and hip brand together with high-end luxury but non-traditional service was the perfect match for me. At some point Marriott asked me to become GM of W Amsterdam and as a Dutchman and knowing the good reputation of the brand and the city I felt very flattered and immediately said yes.

What is your signature feature?

Summer is here and the WETdeck is definitely the best spot in town on sunny days. Overlooking the palace on Dam square, you might even catch a glimpse of the Royal family while sipping a cocktail from our brand new cocktail menu!

What is the upcoming (Summer/Fall 2021) Event not-to-be-missed?

One of our passion points is music and normally we bring this to life every year during Amsterdam Dance Event. 
This gathering for electronic music is one of the biggest of the world and brings many visitors to the city. If you like to live it up and see all the world famous DJ’s, this is the best time! Stay tuned. Follow us on Insta.
